Overview

Luminescence is delivered with pre-recorded audio designed to be performed live with orchestra as a cinematic hybrid work.

This Tech Pack outlines delivery modes, routing, recommended hardware, and a rehearsal workflow suitable for conductors, librarians, and front-of-house (FOH) staff.

Delivery Modes

Option 1

Basic

Any phone / Simplest

Use Case Quick setup; limited tech support; smaller venues

Playback Any smartphone (Android or iPhone), operated by conductor or playback assistant

Routing

Split output via dual 1/4″ TS breakout
Left output — Click (conductor only)
Right output — FOH Mix (house sound)

FOH receives a single mix (fixed balance). Use wired audio only — no Bluetooth.

Option 2

Standard

CueConductor for iPhone

Use Case Minimal hardware with strong rehearsal navigation tools

Playback CueConductor for iPhone

Routing

Split Mode only
Left output — Click (conductor only)
Right output — FOH Mix (house sound)

Adds vs. Basic

Synchronized video with counter, streamers, and pops
"Jump to measure…" navigation

FOH receives a single mix (fixed balance). CueConductor tools reduce rehearsal time spent navigating.

Pro

CueConductor Pro for iPad

Use Case Maximum musical flexibility and the most consistent results across venues

Dual 1/4″ TS outputs via breakout adapter
Stereo Mode — stereo program feed to FOH (no click)
Split Mode — Left = Click; Right = FOH program feed

Adds vs. Basic

Large synchronized video with counter, streamers, and pops

In this mode, the conductor adjusts stem balance in CueConductor; FOH receives the resulting program feed.

Routing & Signal Flow

A — Split Mode (click + FOH)

Playback device → breakout adapter (dual 1/4″ TS) →
Left out: Click → conductor monitor chain
Right out: FOH mix/program → DI → FOH mixer → PA

FOH inputs required: 1 mono input (program feed)

Conductor monitoring required: 1 mono feed (click)

B — Stereo Mode (iPad only)

Playback device → breakout adapter → FOH mixer → PA

FOH takes stereo if available, or may take a mono sum if needed.

FOH Engineer

Helpful in all modes to set level appropriately for the room and maintain clean gain structure.

Rehearsal & Performance Workflow

Before First Rehearsal

Select delivery mode (Basic / Standard / Pro).
Confirm routing (Split vs Stereo) and conductor monitoring plan.
Provide FOH with a simple channel note:
- Split mode: mono FOH feed from right channel of playback device.
- Stereo mode: stereo FOH feed from both channels of playback device.

Integration Rehearsal

Establish the relationship between orchestra and playback (tempo feel, phrasing, transitions).
Rehearse any tempo-sensitive transitions and cue points.
If Pro mode: set an initial stem balance in CueConductor Pro.

Hall Soundcheck / Dress Rehearsal

Run at performance level through the PA.
Finalize program balance (and stem balance, if Pro).
Confirm start/stop contingencies and backup playback plan.

Reliability Notes

Use wired connections throughout.
Enable Do Not Disturb / Airplane Mode on the playback device.
Close unnecessary apps; disable system sounds and notifications.
Have a backup available: A second device loaded with the Minimum split file (or a stereo house file, if that is your fallback).
